Yeah, it still doesn't work even if you click on the link, maybe it's just me. Can you check this? Why don't you upload it to the shroomery?

ok, I see the pic. Is that a side view or something? if it is, wrap some tin foil on the sides to completely block out the light.

It is a picture from the bottom, I was hoping making several references to this.. including calling the picture "bottom" would have clarified that. Maybe ppl should read the caption instead of going straight to the image. The question could easily have been answered without the picture itself, i just put it there so I wouldnt have to write out in full detail what it looks like.

Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to rag on somebody who's trying to help you out.

np, I was being a dumbass, but I'm very tired. Anyways, I have a few more questions so I can better help you solve your problem, is this in a fish tank or something? Does it have glass on all sides? You have perlite lined on the bottom, but what's the casing in, is it in a tray or is it directly over the perlite?

Use perlite, or vermiculite or nothing, but definitely cover the bottom with opaque material or paint it black.

Yeah, but perlite is white, and it's not exactly a dense material, so light can pass fairly easy with out a problem. As for rescuing your mushrooms, if your casing if fully colonized, you should be able to losen the edges and then pull the entire block out. But to prevent that from happening again, I suggest you cover all sides with a material that does not let light through so you won't have this problem again.
