I think I broke my leg

So I decided to take my Rollerblades out to a nice spot out in the mountains where its paved for people to cycle or Rollerblade.Within a minute of being on them, I gained too much speed leaving the parking lot. Straight ahead was a curb with a small wall and a cliff, So I turned right and went right into a big wooden/metal car barrier. As I fell, it went right between my legs and almost crushed my nuts. I got a big bruise on my up shin but thought nothing off it at the time and roller bladed the rest of the way without a problem. Fast forward 8 hours to the present. The pain is almost unbearable. I cant walk on it at all. But I don't know if I should wait and see if it gets worse by tomorrow.. then go to the emergency room? should I go now?

its a little more difficult than that. I would be in the emergency room all night until tomorrow. I don't want to go through all that unless I really have to.

I don't think you'll be there overnight unless it requires surgery or is life threatening.  Do you have someone who can take you?  I wouldn't overlook it if there's so much pain.  At least have X-rays done to make sure it isn't fractured in some obscure way otherwise, it may not heal properly.

I broke my leg 2 years ago and spent 3 months chomping on tabs and hobbling around.  I still have an adjustable boot that pumps up like a pair of reeboks :awesome:.  They ended up putting me on tramadol because I kept trying to have my script called in.:lol:  It was expensive as all hell, ~$750 for x-rays, crutches, the visits, and da boot.  (boot is for shoe sizes 10-14 if you end up needing it, I'd be more than happy to give it to you if you'd cover the shipping)

I'd at least get x-rays and an opinion, you can tough it out with pair of crutches and some ganj if money is an issue.

if half way down your shin there is a new knee then its broked. otherwise leave it till tomorrow.

don't ever smash your knee to 14 pieces, it hurts.

If your leg is broken, you might be in for some shit.

If you wait, you could get a blood clot.  Have fun if it loosens up and winds up in your lung.

If it really hurts as bad as you say, I'd go tonight.

You might have a hematoma, for now I would just put ice on it to reduce the swelling.  If you can't walk tomorrow then consider going to the doc

I am only in pain when I move around.I doesnt hurt when Im sitting, but it hurts when I elevate my leg.doesnt look like its getting any worse. I do plan on going tomorrow if I am in any pain. I can get a ride then. Not taking any risks with this

I dont know where you live ,but I live in one of the most exspensive places in America,it only costs 200 bucks for a emergency room visit......go get it looked at ,it could be fractured,plus they will give you pain meds.....should only take a couple of hours and you wont die from a blood clot.

  I fractured a bone in my hand and thought I was the man and would just deal with it ....3 days later it was 4 inches thick and cost 20,000 for surgery and my finger never grew again....I have the middle finger ,the size of a 12 year old now.....

If your shin was broken I don't think you'd be able to put any weight on it, or skate on it. I'm not a doctor but I doubt it's broken, hopefully not, that would suck.

This accident happened over 9 hours ago, the pain started 3 hours ago. It doesn't look any worse.but it hurts more if I move my leg.I wanna go right now, it just sucks I would have to wake up my mom who has work in the morning. my other option is to sleep it off and go in the morning, which then I would have a ride.

when i broke my fibula,thats the thin arched support bone i was a little tipsy and couldnt put any weight on it the instant it was done and i was warm from a fresh ass whoopin by two fijians,lucky it happened in a pub but yeah man yours just sounds torn and bruised or sprained

my leg has been fucked ever since,i am starting to get a permanent limp

that bone either heals or it doesnt from what ive researched

its name is latin for 'to fasten as in brooch' and its better to break the thicker tibia than the fibula

im getting 10k victims comp for it and then suing the pub cause its a permanent injury

this pub turns over about 4mil a week ripping card machine gamblers off,i wonder if the judge will consider that when i sue

all ill want is a weeks takings for the night of pain i went thru
i cant run or jump anymore without pain and my fucking ankle clicks  6 inches up my shin like its a joint

If you have insurance, get it checked out.

Honestly though, sounds like you might have bruised the bone or chipped it. If it's not hurting when your still, it probably isn't a full on break. A broken leg would probably have you close to crying.

Try doing a bunch of icing and take about 600-800mg of ibuprofen (Advil) or ~660mg of naproxen (Aleve). Get the swelling/inflammation down and then see how you feel. If it's still unbearable tomorrow after ice and a lot of NSAIDs (drugs I mentioned), then I'd go to the ER.

Getting pic of the finger ..no birdie ...not that noticable like that ......all fingers but my pinky are the same size...its looks kinda alien.....:headbang3:

my fingers are hideous man.ive broken them all accept my left thumb and left ring finger and left and right middle finger,some a couple of times over so my hands dont look like piano or guitar playing beautiful hands
