Finished my Song!!! Original, Please listen! (Dark Psychedelic)

So I finished the song I have been working on for the past couple days. Well I shouldn't say finished. This is the first 2 minutes, of what will be a 4-5 minute song. I was using a webcam to record the audio so sorry for those notes that just seem to die out or are too fuzzy to hear. I uploaded to Youtube in order to make viewing easier.

It's cool but I don't want to rate it.  I like where it starts out, real real mellow and calm but, and maybe it's just me, it seems to fall out of rhythm at like 50 seconds'ish...

I definitely like the platform you have built up for the song its all about how you build on it though.

Thats good, I almost gave it a 5 but went for a 4 because the timing on the top riff seemed out of sync in places.

What effects pedals are you using on the guitar?  How did you loop the bottom riff or did you play it all?  What if any software did you use?

I will give you the full process.

I am using an old acoustic I found upstairs for the guitar. I played through the base riff once, then put in into "Audacity" a freeware audio editing software and put it on repeat.

Then I recorded the solo over that. Added some effects (echo, phaser, compression) onto the tracks and then merged them into one file.

I was recording on a webcam so I HAD to use effects cause in some places the webcam really messed up the recording...

for around 50 bucks you can make that sound 3 times as good with a standard HQ mic

I gave it 4 stars because I only give 5 when I practically bust a nut.

Its really good though. If you hove more material up to par with this, consider doing a studio recording.

Thanks for all the comments!! I'm gunna be bringing my acoustic to Bonnaroo so when the time comes close we can get get a Shroomery gathering thread going :yesnod:

And ya... I really have to get some gear :grin:
