Gourdolito Revisited - old title was "Cornucopia"
    #1007620 -

Disclaimer: I remember vividly what happened the last time I posted a rainbow photo, so be forewarned. You MUST be over 18 to view this post.

I was tripping on a pyschedelic gourd last weekend and saw the spirit of "Gourdolito" dancing on the clouds and wishing a Fruitful Harvest to all!

Dude! That gourd looks hella potent. Where can I get me some? What's the dosage? Do you barf your guts out? What's the best way to dry it? What life lessons did Gourdalito impart to you? Did he teach you a song?

The pyschedelic component is in the rind, not the edible center. It is quite bitter (though not in the same league as peyote), but was amazingly gentle on the stomach. I scooped out the guts, sliced up the rind and put in a blender with some OJ. One baseball-sized gourd is enough for a level III trip. I will post a full report of the "lessons" of Gourdolito later.

They contain a chemical 51 times more potent than LSD, Cocaine, Heroin, and THC combined!

That is an exaggeration of their potency. The gnarly decorative gourds work the best.

man, i thought i was just having a flashback at thatksgiving when my girlfriend made baked squash on the shell. i ate mine on the rhind and later on in the day while watching a movie, i became the movie and was one with the couch. then i just faded out and woke up hours later after a dream which i found out bit by bit was totally true.
by the way, use a sitter with this stuff, because it REALLY makes you trip

THIS THREAD SHOULD BE DELETED!!!

Swami! You're gonna screw it up for us all if you tell people about "Gourding Out". Watch, it'll be the new party drug... and then the DEA will fight to schedule it and I won't be able to gourd out on turkey day.

(now that the cat is out of the bag)
Warning: If anyone DOES decide to gourd out, please DO NOT try to snort the powder. Last year a fellow shroomerite died pulling such a stupid stunt (R.I.P. "joneser7"). And remember to have a sitter.

What is honestly the point of this post?

Gratitude for abundance (Thanksgiving) is a humble spiritual attitude, is it not? Appreciation for the artistic beauty that God created in both the sky and in a lowly vegetable is not significant enough for you? Can a thread not be spiritual without a reptilian/mantid in it?

Gourdolito teaches deep lessons about the interconnectivity of all creation.

Yo quiero Gourdolito.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

There are many verses in the Bible that although they do not directly relate to this issue can be, in some sense, applicable. The Truth is that while the gourd can give someone the feeling that they are the recipient of esoteric truths but quantum mechanics shows that the little bitty parts are the only thing that is real.

Take two Guinea pigs and call me in the morning.

Cheers,

Wow! I have been getting requests to start a new website. Does "The Gourdery" sound too imitative? Someone suggested "The Lost Gourd". Ideas?

Anyone interested in etymology might be interested in knowing that the term "out of your gourd" comes from being spaced out on psychedelic gourds.
