Can post-first flush cakes make casing?
    #1002909 - 10/29/02 10:15 AM (21 years, 5 months ago)

............................................
Quick Question:
Can a pair of PF cakes that have already produced their first flush be broken up for casing?
............................................
Details:
A friend of a friend has a pair of PF cakes that have recently produced their first flush. The fruits were not very large and rather disappointing. After the flush the cakes were dunk-tekked overnight in the fridge and placed in the terrarium two days ago.
    - Assuming there are no pins present, could one remove these cakes from the terrarium and use for a 50/50 casing?
    - What if small pins have begun to form?
Thanks in advance!!

Just make sure you remove all pins first. (although you may not have to remove the pins off of what will be the top of your substrate layer, but I am not sure)
