It's easy to see for anyone who knows how to read. You say it's sad that people are arrested for LSD, but you would rather people get arrested than it be sold in Wal-Mart.

As much as I hate to say it, LSD needs to stay illegal. There are just too many complications that would arise if everyone could get it.

On the other hand, I do think that our governments need to adopt a tolerance policy kind of like amsterdam with shrooms. In other words, as long as you aren't doing anything destructive or being blatantly open about your use, you wouldn't have a problem.

What is the difference between mushrooms and LSD that means mushrooms should be legalized, but LSD shouldn't? They both make you hallucinate.

I was using Amsterdam's policy regarding mushrooms as an example of how things should be in the US. I wasn't trying to make a distinction between shrooms and LSD..because you're right, they are very similar.

uh as far as recreational drugs there are only 3 that i know of widely promoted within american culture... coffee, tobacco and alchohol...

and yep, i'm pretty sure you can buy all of those at wallmart...

some poeple in this post were saying that lsd should be 100% legal. we didn't talk about regulation, we were discussing the free for all possibility.

Regardless of who was saying it would be 100% legal, if it ever had a chance in hell of being legal, it would be regulated.

Their are all kinds of legal drugs available with prescription. They aren't recreational, but they have their legal applications.

For the sake of your arguement, you can fill a prescription at Wal-Mart. Do a backflip for us now. HOORAY!

i dont think the opinions in this thread were any concerns that werent valid when talking about if LSD were legalized. i dont understand how people break out into conflict so easily. We can all try to understand where each other are coming from, and if you dont like the fact that i refuse to buy things from walmart or big business just ignore it or try to understand it is all i ask.

So lets start over. (i think this thread has been beating a dead horse for a little while though)

Theres a point that my friends brought up that i think needs a little bit of debating before i bring the argument back to them. They said that if some one has a bad trip, they will just take LSD again because they will just think "oh i had a bad trip, it wont happen again." Do you think people would react this way? i would think they would stay the hell away from LSD if that happened to them personally.

you got me...

yeah i think if poeple had bad trips they'd stay away, but i think there would also be alot of kind of dumb poeple that it would only make dumber, and possibly crazier/more erratic.

also this is only a slightly vague concern, but if was plentiful (perhaps regulated by psychologists?) as an over the counter drug, it'd probably be easier for very young kids to get ahold of (kind of like how weed is...) i really wouldn't want to see young kids taking acid.

I actually just saw one of my closer friends last week and we got in a convo about mushrooms. he knew I did a grow this previous winter/spring and he was talking to me about maybe starting one of his own.  we then got into how mushrooms affect your brain and psychological changes during a trip and long term after. 
he basically said mushrooms fuck your head up and only sees mushrooms as having fun.
I dont really care that he would eat them just for fun like anyother drug at all, I eat them for fun and other purposes.

he was under the impression psilocybin  eats your brain like Ecstasy or something

I tried to explain to him my knowledge on it and just brushed it off

u ruined a completely logical and correct post by listening to idiotic propaganda in the war on drugs...u know the guy who made the "ecstacy east ur brain" study admitted that he used meth on the monkeys and exagerated his results....im by no means an expert so i wont talk out my ass, but i know that ecstacy is roughly equal to psilocybin, lsd and mescaline
