Film makers!

Don't know if theres any student/indie film makers on here, but I'm trying to get into doing music/scoring to film. I dont care how serious or not serious of a film maker you are, I wanna put music to your work. Shoot me a PM. I'll bump this from time to time to see if I can find any collaborators

I have yet to make any films that need scoring, but if I do I'd possibly be willing to collaborate.

Until then, you should go here, put some samples up, and if people like your style I'm sure you can find some "work". A quick search turned up this thread which should be right up your alley.

No problem, my username is the same on those boards, though I haven't posted much. I'm primarily just reading and learning for now.

You have a myspace or anything I can listen to?

Here's a video I made with a regular DV camera this past month (I wish the quality was better, lots of things can't be seen at that resolution). This is the first time I've gotten behind a camera in a while, so don't expect much, just capturing some natural beauty to admire :grin:

There's a good chance I'm going to a film school this next fall.

as of yet I think only one of my pieces has processed but I'll be updating it. Right now its just a computer rendering of the compositions but I'm working on getting into the studio with some musicians and get some real strings/winds. I've gotta get more stuff on there later to show a little more diversity in the music I write...I try to do a little of everything

Hell yeah thats some solid stuff. Like you said, it definitely needs some real strings or atleast a quality vst, so it's hard to critically judge them, but the piano is great. 'Triphop' reminds me of Amon Tobin a bit.

I just realized what your username says. Great song, favorite band :thumbup:
