To some degree, yes. Because we get all your movies so we get a kind of Hollywood image of you. Plus there's all this leaders of the free world stuff and giant military etc.

I think you guys are pretty cool though, you seem to have a good sense of humor.

If you tell people you are from "America" rather than a particular city, they immediately assume you are from some back woods part of Texas.

Probably viewed as dumb, fat, consuming, idiots. Which isn't far from the truth.

Its not all bad though. Shows like the Simpson's, southpark, futurama and lots of others are famous all over the world.

The French on the other hand, what have they ever done for anyone?

The one thing that sticks out to me is FAKE and like to play dumb.

Fake tits, big egos, masked personalities, fake smiles.  I don't believe all Americans are like that but thats how my media portrays you.  "Friends" as a prime example.  I fucking hate it.  Acting stupid is not cool and whats even stupider is these dumb Brits copying the act and using American phrases thinking they are cool.

I know a Canadian guy and hes one of the nicest and intellectual people I know and I respect him.  I take people as individuals though.  I don't know any Americans apart from you lovely folks on here.

The French? They are beautiful and wonderful and brought a lot of good taste to art. Their language is also one of the few good ones besides English

Americans are morbidly obese, slow and filthy rich is what I thought the stereotype was.

I think its more seen that a small minority of Americans are filthy rich. My country can't really talk when it comes to being morbidly obese and slow.

Everytime I go to another country people rabidly try to get money out of me thinking that because Im American Im rich.
In America even the bums dont ask me for money because they can take one look at me and see I dont have much.

i'm from Texas, i'm used to being stereotyped by everyone, it seems like the American stereotype is usually congruent to the Texan one.

i'm in great shape, i'm educated, well spoken, a free thinker, and i've only ridden a horse twice.

i do own guns and say y'all a lot, though!

No. While I may love all cultures I think lots of languages sound terrible and unimpressive.

Is this in other first world countries? I know it happens a lot in developing countries.

Developing, but 90-95% of countries are.
