drying shrooms

Are there any known side effects from using a dehumidifier for drying some shrooms? SWIM has left a "plant" to dry on top of the unit and it was smokable the next morning (it was pretty dry). I am going to use it anyway but was wondering if maybe there was something I was overlooking. Don't want the shrooms to lose that much potency before halloween. Oh yeah...........
