Color of dried shrooms?

I have been drying my shrooms craker dry with a fan. When dry, they have parts that are greenish dark blue...is this okay?? they usually dry good in 12 hours. I have tasted a few and they taste like normal shrooms. I still don't have enough to dose yet...at least i don't think..i need a good scale...where can i get a good gram scale?? thanks

That coloring sounds alright.

Is it normal for dried shrooms to be dark blue inside is what I want to know.

Ebay has good scales, Ebay has everything.

Well, the pink elephant has always noticed that when drying shrooms one must be timely. If you let them dry on a plate, they turn blue(ish). However, if you dry them, on a plate, with a fan on them, they might (at the most) turn just a slight blue. The blueing comes from the oxidation of the psilocin. So, basically the mushroom is rusting. As it "rusts" the psilocin content is reduced, ergo potency is lost.
If a shroom is big enough, the inside of the "stem" may turn blue. Any time the mushroom doesn't change color, or changes to a blue color, it's safe to eat. If it tuns red, or orange or some other color, or if it grows teeth and starts chasing you around the room, you probably shouldn't eat it.
That's not to say you should go out and pick wild mushrooms that have a blue color, because some of those contain other poisons that may harm you.
