Drying shrooms with black spots?

Hey,
I noticed on some recently drying shrooms i noticed that some were turning black, not the whole shroom but on parts of the stem and cap. Is this normal? They are dried up now but I don't know if I should eat them or not. Please be serious with your response(s), shroomery, some people just don't know as mush as others.

The black spots could be the mushroom rotting. If you didn't dry the mushrooms properly, there is a large chance that that is what it is. If the black spots weren't there before you picked them, then I doubt it is contamination. I'm not going to tell you whether or not to eat them or not, thats up to you.

I'm pretty sure the color is black. is there is particular smell? They don't smell like the mycelia when you first open the jar, it smells...different. Well, thanks for all of your help fellas, i'll try and see what happens. Does this problem happen to anyone else?
