good, i'm glad its canceled.

that's what they get for moving it into miami proper, and having a bunch of D&B and techno, with no fucking camping.

wtf kind of festival is that?  thats more like an extended warped tour.



edit:  just sent 'em this email, hoping they'll get back on track for next year:

Dear Langerado,

I see that you've canceled this year's festival.  What's the matter, people didn't want to stay in hotels in miami & listen to Drum&Bass all day?  Hrm, shouldn't have strayed from your roots.  I loved the festival last year at Big Cyprus, and was planning on coming back - with friends.  Your festival ('08) was a perfect mix of the Big Festivals (bonnaroo) and the small festivals (All Good) - and I loved every minute of it.  I was outraged and saddened when I heard the drastic changes you had prepared for this year, and feel better now that I see you all have suffered as a result of your ill-guided judgement.

Better luck next year, and no hard feelings.  I look forward to returning when Langerado is a proper festival again (with fucking CAMPING).

Seems it was due to the "economy".....

I'd push it more that this festival sucks a bloody hole in the wall.....

I heard nothing but ill reports last year from a lot of people.  The line up this year was about as pathetic as a two legged dog chasing his tail in a windstorm, and they took away camping.....and put it in the middle of miami?

Sounds like a major commercial pile of shit too me, and exactly the type of event the people who originally attending would steer clear from.

I had a blast last year -


the only negative stories i heard were of the bullshit that happened to blissedout.

Granted, there were quite a bit of police, but I didn't observe them causing any trouble (although, yes, i am aware they must have, since they fucked with blissedout).

There was a late night drum circle (without many drums - cans, guitars, spoons & pots, yelling) around one of the generator-lightpoles one night, and a bunch of cops on ATVs showed up and just watched from ~50yards, making sure nothing got out of hand.

I started talking to one about the tow-hook on the front of his ATV (I was dosed out of my mind) and he just turned and said "I think you should walk away" - and I did, lol.  I'm thankful he didn't fuck with me/bust me... he easily could've - i was FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.ED

See and that sounds shitty as all hell to me.

The best you got was 1 drum circle.....and at that 1 drum circle there was a shit load of cops to keep the peace?



I heard a few horror stories aside from bissedout.  I honestly heard not one single good thing about it what so ever.  I like a private atmosphere.  Either minimal cops, or a lot of private staff......and I'll drive further to get this convenience.

Unfortunatley when there's bigger bands playing the security gets bigger as well.

Although your story made me laugh my ass off, I'm with vandango. I've been to a whole lot of drum circles, and never seen cops at any of them. No wonder nobody bought any tickets.

I was trippin' on some mushrooms at Bonnaroo '05 and couldn't find my way back to the campsite, so I saw this horse mounted COP just chillin there on the path.  I figured he could at least point me in the right direction because I remembered which section I was in.  I ended up walking up to him and just started petting his horse for awhile. :sun: I was so fucked up, I'm surprised I made it through that festival in one piece / a free man.

Don't be nieve.  Just because i told one story about a drum circle doesn't mean it was the only drum circle of the entire festival.

And when i say drum circle, I'm downplaying it.  It was anywhere from 100-200 FUCKED up people at around 4:30 hitting everything they could find with anything they could find.  There was probably one cop for 30 people.  It was by no means an obscene presence.

yeah, those mounties are great.  Before the aformentioned drum circle I met a nice policehorse named... ummm - fuck, i don't remember, but i have a video somewhere on my comp that documented it.  What a night ::drifts off reminscing::
