How long will dried cubes stay potent?

Ok..I've got a friend going on a trip and I wanted to know how long will cubes stay potent if they are dried properly? I have a dehydrator so they would for sure be dried totally. If I kept them in a cool dark place in a baggie or plastic glad container would they lose potency? I'm plannin on keepin them about a week or two before I take them. If any potency is lost how much? Thanks, chronny

I'm no expert on the stability of 4-HO-DMT (psilocin) of psilocybin in a fungus, so what I'm about to say is from "personal experience."

Great! You're already ahead in the game. I've read that dehydrators are ideal if you can afford a good one.

It depends on how good they are kept away from air and from light (UV rays). The better protected they are, the longer the psychoactives will stay stable.

I wouldn't even worry about it dude, sounds like your situation is quite normal. Just keep them out of light, away from extreme heat, and keep the container they are in AIR FUCKIN TIGHT!

Hey I appreciate the quick answer!!! Sounds good...I was thinking hey would be alright..Also I can put them in an air tight glass mason jar. I keep mine in a drawer which I rarely open and is in the dark, so sounds great!

Also, colored glass jars are excellent as they "shade" the contents from UV and other harmful forms of radiation. One can find amber-tinted glass containers at some mom-and-pop pharmacies...emphasis on glass! (there are some amber-tinted plastic containers, but these are mostly used for liquid tinctures and medicines). And try to find containers with plastic rims on the cap to make a great seal that will keep your contents fresh.

ya they shoudl be fine think about peopel who buy mush already dried. who knows how old it is and jsut kept in zip lock bags. and ive gotten soem pretty potent ones

I have some cracker dry mushies that have been sitting here for approx 7 to 9 months.  I made sure they were dry before I put them into two ziplock bags and into my safe under my bed.  I pulled them out just now and i have not triped on them since.  they look just as good as when I dried them, and they smell the same.  Do you think they will still be as potent?  I have never eaten mush older than a month before, I am a little bit cautious :crazy:. Thanks

The only thing that would happen is they wouldent be as potent, they dont magically turn into poisin.
