We have a black man occupying a building called the "White House" which was built by slaves.  I'd say there's plenty of irony to be found in this country.

what is irony?

I think it is a matter of context.

something is ironic if a particular aspect of the context makes the thing more significant.

eg dramatic irony

when information that is known by the audience allows them to see more significance in the words of the actors than the characters themselves. The information gives the audience extra context over the characters.

other types of irony are basically the same thing but there is not a clear distinction between audience and stage
