Fuck our landlord is coming to show the apartment today

And we forgot to pawn off the cat on someone else.
We hid all his shit in the bathroom, and when they come we're gonna throw him in my closet, turn on loud music in my room, and turn on the shower so no one goes in that bathroom.
I hope we don't get caught.

the jews tryin to jew the landlord over on a pet deposit! lol i did the same thing when i got my dog. horrible timing, i got my dog, then he was coming to the apt. complex everyday for almost 2 weeks replacing outlets... i saw him on one side of the buidling so i walked aroud nthe other side with my dog, and there he is. decided to walk the same way i was... oh well, now the pet deposit is taken care of.

i've had to hide my cats before.

But I don't ever hide them if maintenance is coming... most of the time they can't even speak english, much less read a contract. They don't know who has paid a pet deposit and who hasn't. I think it's dumb to have to put down a deposit for cats who are neutered and declawed. They aren't going to tear up anything... and even though half of the deposit is refundable, they always find a reason to keep it.

Apartment complex managers are fucking scum and they will do anything to screw you over. i've never had a good experience with any of them. I keep quiet in my apt and I pay my rent on time, so at least I never had to deal with them being bitchy for a good reason.

Even now, I'm in the process of moving to an apt and they had all this information in a brochure stating if you work for certain companies you get $25 off your rent and $60 off your first month's rent and they waive the application fee for you. Well, I work at QuikTrip part time, and they were one of the "preferred employers" so I asked about getting my discounts... well when I provided check stubs they were like "oh, you're only there part time. You can't get the discount becaue you're a part time employee there"/ When NO WHERE in the brochure did it say you had to be a full time employee. It just said you had to work there.

Apartments SUCK.

Why don't you just get the cat out of the apartment for a bit: put the cat in your car, or take the cat outside for a walk or something?

This doesn't sound like its that complicated of a problem.  Think about it, if you were deciding whether to rent an apartment, wouldn't you look in all the closets, storage places etc.?

First off, no pet deposit. We just straight up can't have him.
Badchad: We don't take him outside, and they didn't give us a time as to when they would be here, so I don't want him in the car freezing all day.
Normally we take him to a friends, but we didn't find out til yesterday (they're very good at letting us know far in advance when they'll be stopping by) and we couldn't find anyone to take him for the day. We also don't just put him with anyone. Most people aren't careful enough about not letting him out when they come here, I can only imagine what they would be like at their own apartment. Which is fine, it's not their responsibility, it's ours.

And I'm not worried about them looking in the closet. My room is a disaster, and all four rooms are completely identical except for the window location. If anyone gets curious I'll say "Go to that other room it will be easier for you to get a sense of what it's like." I'm also not worried about anyone that's looking at the apartment to snitch, I just don't want whoever actually shows the house to hear meowing.

yeah we used to worry about days like that bc we smoked out constantly in our apartment.
just the area around our apartment outside would always smell like weed.  i would smell it as i would walk up the stairs from class lol.  i cant believe we never got in trouble that year...definitely not playing it safe.  now my guy takes a lot more precautions about his business:bongload:

luckily we had that dealership style car spray that smells nuts...covers everything else if you spray enough.  we would use that shit sometimes and just bomb the room.  haha like an unexpected knock at the door = apartment bombed with odor refresher that was intense.

When a bunch of us were looking for a house to use as a frat house last year we toured one place and I'll be damned if they weren't growing weed.
Some idiot we were with who doesn't know when not to say shit goes "Oh my god I think they're growing weed here" right in front of the person showing the house.
Luckily they just said "Yeah, probably. Hope they don't get caught. Then again they are shitty tenants." They were lucky their landlord just didn't care.

God, that failed miserably :lol:
They knock on the door, so I scoop Fish up, turn on my music, and throw him in my closet. Except two seconds later he's fucking standing next to me. The closets have sliding doors and the gap in the doors was big enough for him to squeeze through. I threw him back in and used a box to cover the gap, but there he is again two seconds later. I have no idea how he got out the second time, the box is still in place. I think he may have just forced his way through to door (it's not anchored on the bottom.)

Luckily the four chicks had just looked at the apartment next door which is exactly the same, so they weren't even in our place for more than a minute, let alone come upstairs.
