Then share... I got my very first tool album when I was ten. Didn't end up picking up opiate until 3 years later, but I love this band, and have never even slightly been dissapointed by a song. Definitely enjoyed Puscifer as well.... Favorite song on the V for Vagina release, the Rev 20/20 Dry martini Mix..

The first time I listened to Tool was my 2nd mushroom trip and I instantly fell in love with the band. Downloaded their entire discography a few days later and I know every song they play now haha. A Perfect Circle I wasn't a fan of until about a year ago though, and Puscifer I don't listen to very much, tho I should probably give them another listen soon.

You should go get the magazine Revolver, they have one edition where it's completely dedicated to Tool, I bought it, it's a great read. Some interesting/funny stuff in there you'd never know. Here's the cover:

How long ago was this?? How old were you?... I found my self listening to tool, type o negative, van morrison, Nin, Alice N Chains, And Stevie Ray vaughn in the Eigth grade.. If Ipods were out then, those would have been the most played bands..

maynard is an interesting guy. i think he just likes to fuck with people. he acts like a dick at times but i really dont think he is. seems like a cool guy. wouldnt mind hangin out with him or danny carey

I agree, thats part of the reason I can relate to so many of tool's songs.

I think a lot of people misinterpret his sarcasm and aloofness for arrogance, but then again I get that alot from people too.

Nard's one of my heroes.

Has he actually claimed to be a Buddhist?  There's lots of mystical imagery in his songs, but it doesn't seem to be specific to any one religion.
