Myco Env. Bag Question (Yes iread old post)

Hey I am new to this forum so sorry if i sound too much like a newb but I did read up the FAQ the grow section and old posts but I have not found an answer to my question.
I want to get into mushroom cultivation and for my first time I wanted to just use a Myco Bag to make things simpler, and next time around ill start from scratch doing a Tek. What I want to know is how much can I expect a myco bag to produce, and also, instead of letting the mycelin fruiting in there can I open the bag and do a casing or caking? Would either be better in this case? Ive read the casing for dummies, should I just open the myco bag when its colonized crumble it up, etc.

Please advise.

1/2 ounce dry is the average yield. You can move the substrate out if you wanted to case it. I did it and I haven't seen any contams yet, I'm still waiting for the coco coir to colonize, then I can expect some yields. If your going to case it, crush it in the bag, cut it open and then dump it out so you don't need to touch it and lower the chance of contamination.
