Fully colonized but contamed wbs/h202 question...?
    #9708261 -

I know myc is resistant to h202 right? as in; I could dunk a cake in it and it wouldn't hurt it right?

Well; I ask kuz a friend of mine (you know) he's got a jar of fully colonized WBS; BUT, in a few places,(like 2) you can see 0ne or two lil tiny millet seeds are slightly greenish, like just barely, apon smelling, the jar smells like it's supposed to,

So my question, Should he spawn it to Hpoo as is? or somehow "Rinse it" in a 100% h202 solution?

My best guess; is, inject like 2cc of h202, then shake it, and wait till it recovers before spawning...????
...Any advice? THANKS!:stoned2:

If you can see contams, there is a good chance that there is more contams inside the substrate where you cannot see, I would toss them.  If you are dead set on trying to use them, h202 does not hurt the myc (not too much anyway) but it will not save contaminated substrate.

You could possibly get some fruits out of it, imo it is not worth the effort you will put into it.  When dealing with any contamination, the best thing to do is toss it.  If you must, break off any contamination, rinse well, dunk in diluted h202, and hope for the best.
