My friends jars have been fully colonized for about 3 days now, how long should he wait, Some say wait untill they see pinheads, but does'nt the high humidity of the terrarium induce pinning?

It depends on the strain. Some will not pin invitro and you can birth anytime now. Some people tend to wait a couple of days and maybe even weeks untill they birth there jars to ensure full colonization but i've had no problems with birthing just after or shortly before full colonization. I might have to wait a little longer for pins but they do come.

Ugh, i'm not sure if B+ pin invitro. Check PF's website.
I recently birthed a B+ cake. It was birthed almost immediatly after full colonization and it looks to be doing very well right now. I loved the smell of the mycelium very "sweet fruity" kind of smell. Reminded me of my PRs.

Sweet fruity smell? I've never had a cake smell sweet or fruity unless it was contaminated....

I don't wait at all. Did you know that the mycelium will continue to colonize even after you take it out of the jar?

No, it was a mushroomery smell and defently not contaminated. Maybe "sweet and fruity" was not a good way of describing it but it is extreamly pleasent.
I dont wait at all either. I'll birth them ASAP.
