First death of Obama Administration?

I'm not too concerned about the economy collapsing, what bugs me is the worry of how worse it'll get. If it's just went down in a quick, swift motion then it'd be done with and we can focus on rebuilding. Dragging it out so long is what causes all the pain.

It's like when I'm dating a chick. The last month or so is always just.. crap. We don't wanna end it cause we're attached to each other, but we know it's not going anywhere. Then she'll just come out with it and break up with me one day. I realize I spent the last month worrying if she's going to breakup with me and it got me no where, now she's broken up with me and I've got nothing to worry about cause I've hit rock bottom. And rock bottom feels fucking awesome. The only place to go is up.

I'm not trying to use this as any kind of direct analogy. I'm not, for example, against the bailout (though.. I am, but it's irrelevant to this post). It's not that they try and help the economy, it's that they have an unrealistic goal of where the economy 'should' be. It was here before, and that point was great, so it must never go below that point again or it is 'bad.' No, you fucker, you saying it's bad is the only bad thing. The economy goes up and down, people have lots of luxuries sometimes, sometimes not so much, it's how the fucking world works. You saying it's a problem is the only problem. You create fear and worry in the people by saying you're after a problem that doesn't exist. People get worried and start chasing something that doesn't exist. Thinking they are living in hard times, when they're actually just living in times. Just accept the shit how it is and try to improve it, don't reject it and try to make it was it was before because it worked then. Adapt.
