That sounds pretentious as all get out. The point I was trying to make was I listened to Alive when it came out, and if you asked me what show that was from I would have said "Well, it sounds like Chicago, but I feel like the set is a little different."

Daft punk in Melbourne was the best gig ive ever seen by far. I think the shrooms and bickies helped also.

Bicky is a term often used here refering to pills, rolls, MDMA,MDA in tablet form. I dunno must be an Aussie thing?

Thomas Bangalter revealed this photo, along with some secrets about Daft Punk's live show equiptment to mixmag for their August issue.

He lists these 6 things as the workings of their spaceship:

    1. ABLETON
    "The show revolves around Ableton Live software on custom made super-computers, which we remotely access and control with Behringer BCR2000 midi controllers."

    2. SCREENS
    "Next to the ethernet remote computer screens there are four Minimoog Voyagers, the classic analog synthesizers. They're a 30-year old design."

    3. MOOGS
    "We can mix, shuffle, trigger loops, filter, distort samples, EQ in and out, transpose or destroy and deconstruct synth lines. We keep some surprises on the side too!"

    4. VISUALS
    "There's a direct connection between our rig and the lights and visuals of the show. The light and video engineers can also add or control layers during the show."

    5. SYNTHS
    "Inside the pyramid are synthesizers and remote controls connected to the rest of the music equipment and computers, which are in rack-mounted towers off stage."

    6. TEAMWORK
    "Working the music equipment, lighting and video equipment, and building the pyramid for each show takes around 10 people, including both of us."

Man, sometimes it is such a pain in the dick when a needle fucks up during a 1210's set, I can't imagine what the hell you would do if something fucked up there during the gig.  Trying to debug all that?? I guess they have good equipment and technicians that make sure it doesn't.
