Martha using Ultrasonic Fogger
    #9595255 -

I had an idea recently to do this, and just wanted to run it past the higher ups to see what people thought. The idea is that the ultrasonic fogger will keep humid air flowing into the Martha while the computer fan can be filtered to keep a good FAE rate. My paint skills rock!

Should work, I am currently building a home made fogger/humidifier with a 10 gallon reservoir.

If you want some ideas look up Agar's tek, he shows you how to build your own fogger, I am following that just on a little bit of a bigger scale..  You can use a 5 gallon bucket and not have to worry about refilling the water for a week or longer..

Cumputer fans dont deal with humidity very well. They usualy burn up quickly, especially if you use a filter. There not designed to run with that amount of resistant. You dont need to filter the air anyway. Fruiting conditions dont need to be sterile.

You dont need to fan for FAE. You will get better results manually fanning out. Or even just leaving to door cracked open somewhat and fanning a few times.

A computer fan wont shift enough air, especially in that amount of space. You want to be able to complelty exchange the air quickly. A PC fan will slow pump in fresh air which will slowly mix the the stale air.

I have heard of people using an ultrasonic or a timer and a coolmist 24/7. The coolmist will provide FAE and also some humidity. The ultrasonic on a timer will provide the rest of the rh. Some experimentation will be required to fine the right timing.

See I was mainly looking for the fogger to do both processes of  the coolmist and the ultrasonic. I am still searching for a Martha that doesn't have cloth sides. Amazon anyone?

Well the thing is if you make your own fogger humidifier, you can have the fan run 24/7 and then have the fogger part of it turn on every 10 minutes for 3 minutes or whatever timing you find that works for you..

Heres mine. Fogger element is on a timer to come on for 15 min every hr. The Bubble stone/air-pump, and CPU fan are on 24/7. This alone keeps my Martha in superb conditions.

My MS pain skills own you... imo

You can just put the US in the CM and have it come on whenever needed . The CM will fill with fog and then be dispersed throughout your FC

The fan that I have is actually a fan I smuggled from a class 3 cleanroom. It surprisingly pushes a lot of air.

My fan isn't very strong due to it only being a CPU fan, and having to suck air through a partially clogged filter. Spite its weak power, its just right. It calmly rolls in, and blankets the whole inside of the Martha real nice. Before I put that filter over the intake, a jet-stream of fog blasted across my Martha, and blew real hard against the opposite wall. This created allot of condensation against that area of the wall. resulting in allot of water pooling in the bottom of my Martha. it was a chore to keep upkeep on removing this water. Now I have everything automated and right where I want it. All I have to do is fill the water reservoir in the humidifier once a day.

Just curious, I am trying everywhere to find a Martha, and the only place I can find one is a 60". That's huge, and I know for sure I don't need anything that large. By chance, is anyone using one this large? Annyone know where I can find a smaller one?

Not sure where to get a good martha, did you try your local super stores, they usually carry them, if you would like an actual greenhouse they sell on ebay for 17.99 for a 4 tier greenhouse that is what I use.

Here are some pictures of my humidifier build.. I just mounted the fan, I will be putting the tube coupling in tomorrow when I get home from my college classes, and I will post some more pictures when I get to that step..
