oh yeah... when i was totally stoned on my medication (hydromorphone/flunitrazepame) i just cut my right small finger off and didnt any feel... recognized it when my boots went wet cause of the bleeding... lol

well I work under the table and have for this particular guy for about 6 months.

You are probably going to be completely screwed since you are working under the table.  Your employer is a special kind of scumbag to hire people under those terms.  He doesn't have to pay insurance premiums and you have no employee protections.  You can try to make it a civil legal matter and threaten to sue for damages and you might get lucky and settle out of court.  This will be possible because your employer would absolutely not want to get caught in the legal shit-storm of being a tax dodger and running such an illegal business.  You really need to consult a lawyer that specializes in workers compensation.

you shouldn't sue your boss because of your own carelessness. Use a push stick next time. I'm sure the boss is thrilled you hurt yourself, perhaps he will pick up the hospital bill if he's nice. If he doesn't offer tell him you need financial assistance with it.

once I had a CNC machine rip my finger off at the knuckle while indexing (like tearing a chicken leg in half). It was just dangling there. I didn't feel a thing. They put it back together and now its as good as new.

Remember they call them "accidents" not "on purposes"!

like nibin said, talk to ur employer and let him know ur gonna be w/out any money for a while. so if you could help with somethin that doesnt require much effort, or if hed give you a "goodbye good riddance" bonus and youll be gone

He used a push stick. The boss had them working on snowy grownd from what I understood.

I am a professional woodworker and have seen some terrible machining accidents. After 10 years of working, I have yet to fuck myself up like that, but saw many fucked up injuries working in the Gibson Custom Shop. The worst injuries I saw were from things you wouldnt think. Someone would be working with the pin router or tables saw and be fine, then be working with a chisel, but slip and take off a finger or even split a finger in half.
