Using an ultrasonic humidifier without a timer.
    #953215 -

I am using an altrasonic humidifier in my terrarium running through three 2 litre bottles to reduce suspended air particles in the actual terrarium. I read an adaptation of how to do this with a timer but I dont want to deal with that. Is there anyone else who uses this setup without a timer, is it alright to leave it on for 2-4 hours at atime or even off for that long? Is fanning still necessary using this setup? any advice?

my first post... have u ever considered using a humidistat control... it could be placed in the air stream between the fan and the humidifier to insure the most accurate control range enviorment. commercial humidistats can be purchased for around $40 and would allow for precise, automatic and troublefree control in the tank... U want to be sure the control sensing element is before the humidifier discharge  to prevent rapid short cycling... once i understand how to post pictures,  i'll be able to submit drawings and pictures... I hope this might be of some help... Peace2U!
