Egg Nog

Good day Pub.  What's the best spike for Egg Nog?  I've only ever had non-alcoholic and that was a few years ago...

a dark rum like meyers works well, others that are great with
it are brandy and some folks like bourbon, I think bourbon is gross

I was hoping someone would say rum works well.  I can tolerate rum a lot better than other liquors.  I won't be making my own nog though, I'll be settling for the Wawa brand.

never tried egg nog, but the name appeals to me, even though i don't like eggs.
it reminds me of custard even though i've never even seen it.

I ended up going with Pris's suggestion of Myer's Rum.  I got a handle and a gallon of Wawa egg nog.  :thumbup:  I'm still pregaming with the beer though, I'll dip into the nog in a bit.  :cheer:

I love eggnog, but only in its non-alcoholic form.  I keep it in the fridge every holiday season and usually drink a big glass every morning.  But the few times I've had eggnog prepared as an alcoholic drink it was just nasty.

If your going for a night of getting wasted, use the beer to get you there, and try to stick to only one glass of egg nog. Trust me man, you do not want alot of eggs in you at the end of the night. And they are not pleasant coming back up.
But some claim that eggs help with hangovers:shrug:

BTW, meyers sucks. Get yourself some captain morgan private stock, or some Flor de Cana.
Personally, I prefer Jack or Jameson.

We were just at the store and they didnt have any nogg. We had to go to another store to get  the nog and some VSOP:cheers:

but all is well now and the nog is flowing.
