Midicinal Mushroom for insulin.

O.K. this may sound out there, but I read in one of my library manuals that there is a Mushroom that if eaten, seems to do to the human body what insulin does. Does anyone know the proper name of this fungi.

hhmm.........interesting.

I DO know that  Cordyceps,Reishi,Maitake,Shitake and a  couple others are considered blood sugar 'regulators'. But I've heard nothing that suggests it could replace the use of insulin.

I myself have been able to reduce my insulin use when regularly consuming Reishi in whole or tea form....just my personal experience :smile: Also noticed that Kombucha tea helps as well.

Do a Google search....you'll find a lot of supposed 'research' on the matter. You've unfortunately got two opposing arguments here from skeptics here:

(1) That it does work, but large pharmaseutical companies don't want you to "know".

(2) If it worked so well, every diabetic would have heard about it.

I'm quite open to thinking that it's possible that there are some health benefiits.....but be very careful....messing with diabetes can lead to long term health issues.

Psathyrella hydrophila reduces level of blood sugar, according to one of my books. But I didn't found anything on the net about it.

I use a three mushroom combo in "OO" caps and a tea for all my diabetics and
1) NO insulin or other chemicals (I take them off)
2) They eat a regular diet
They are in effect, not diabetic anymore. At least all of mine so far. It can be totally controlled in this fashion by my direct patient care experience.
