YeaYEa.... i was wondering if any of you people tried sticking straws in yoru cakeS and adding water in it once in a while???

i 've been wanting to try this...
but haven't found detailed instructions...

the PF site has some info on it...
i was wondering if you have to sterilize the straws??? and how deep do you have to drill the cakes???

won't the cakes crumble by the drill???

will the hole in the cake destroy any of the premordia??????

I think it is described in one of the optimizations to the magic mushroom grower's guide which can be found in G/F section here. Didn't try it, but I did try the water resevoir of verm or water crystals that is also described as an optimization. It worked fine, I got about 5-6 flushes of some of those cakes (the ones I injected with water after every flush). It's a similar concept and worked, but it was just as easy to make new jars.

I tried this on two cakes that were almost dried out(before I heard of dunking) and on each one a mushroom grew inside the straw and clogged it. I just thought that was funny.

maybe instead of drilling your cake just dunk it in bottled water or brita water peace
