no, because that would be too much of a cliche. my brain would choose not to remember/accept it and my reality would win.

Okay, these are possibilities, but they operate on assumptions, unless you know specifics about who and what these aliens are.

Assuming they either live in our solar system (show me evidence of intelligent life on one of our neighbor planets) or have vastly superior space flight technology, sure.  Who knows if they would progress in the same patterns as humans?

In other words, highly likely assuming they are anything like humans.  Highly likely, assuming intelligent life was able to develop far earlier elsewhere than on Earth.

"What if they lived longer than us?
What if they planet hopped building bases on each planet as they traveled?"
What if they only live 5 years? What if they don't planet hop? What makes these things any more than hopes?

No.  Icelander assumes its likely that they could not travel here because of distance.  I present possibilities to show him why his assumption is incorrect.  I did not propose these possibilities to be actualities therefore they are not operating on assumptions.  They simply show that it it is an over simplification to claim distance=unlikely.

My personal opinion is separate.  The subject matter could be anything.

Possibilities could be presented that show that it is an over-simplification to say that distance is no obstacle.
Either viewpoint is based on assuming things about these supposed alien beings that we know nothing about (or do you?)

I know highly advanced craft exist.  I'm as sure as that as I am that I exist.

Thats because I've stood 50 foot away from one.  There were other witnesses so I know it was no hallucination and it also left marks in the ground where it landed.

Years of research into the phenomena has me in agreement with the likes of Nick Pope, Jack Casher, Edgar Mitchel and Gordon Cooper.  I am not as qualified and in the know as they are but I agree that I think its likely these craft are not man-made.

FYI, the cases I'm interested in are not just lights in the sky or hoaxes.  There is a mass of solid evidence beneath all the crap.  By solid evidence I mean physical craft that can be picked up on radar, leave physical evidence behind, leave radiation and defy our known laws of aerodynamics. 

You are probably not as knowledgeable on the subject as I am.  Trust me, I don't want to believe.  I am skeptical.  I'd be happier if these 'things' were not happening.  Sometimes when things are presented before your very own eyes - you have to choose, to study and learn or to remain ignorant and bury ones head in the sand.
