I dismiss this as sky and cloud debris
At first I thought it was the shadow of the MIG, but after it shot off at estimated 3G's in less then 10 seconds?? If there is a scientific way of analyzing that video I would believe it to be a UFO.

"A conventional wisdom on this question is that these aliens are concerned that our fragile minds might fall apart when they make first contact, and they don’t want this to happen. I think this is a very reasonable assumption. A lot of people don’t agree with this"
Ok I don't understand how are minds could just fall apart if they contacted us... If we were to try contacting an ant does it die? No. Can we verbally speak to it, No. But couldn't we create synthetic chemicals that the ant uses to communicate? Yes but it would only tell them to follow the trail to find food. I don't know where Im going with this, Im just typing as I think. All I know is that if theyre were extra-terrestials and they wanted to contact us they would of found a way by now.
The reason I dig the whole topic so much is that my Mom who would never tell an outright lie, told me how her and her friend were driving along a highway in the middle of the night, when suddenly a spacecraft lit up on top of an overpass and flew off...and no she has never done any drugs in her life.

I'm really no expert on this kind of stuff so I'm just asking. When you say you thought it was a shadow of the mig what was it shadowing off of?

think about it like this:
if you are growing mushrooms, then you inject spores into a medium, then you let that medium SIT THERE in an isolated, sealed environment for a certain length of time before you fuck with it.
you try as best you can not to get in there and fuck with it unless you absolutely have to.
see where I'm goin with this...

of course i havent read the whole thread.....
but i think its funny how people automatically assume that aliens would want to talk to us.
just because we have the ability to build cities and bombs, and kill other animals, it doesnt really make us the more intelligent species. perhaps one of the most destructive.
if aliens have been watching us all this time, and saw how we have enslaved diffrent people and fight wars...maybe they dont want to have anything to with us.
maybe theyd rather communicate with squid or whales. ( i consider them to be very intelligent which is why i used them as examples)
