well shit that was a landslide victory in a pretty short time lol.  i looked at the poll map at 9:30 and there was hardly any results yet, and i wake up to BLAM. 

so the democrats hold majority in both houses and now the executive.,........    i dont like the sound of that.......

Well I don't know much about US politics but its obvious that Obama has a good head on his shoulders, you couldn't have really elected a dumber son of a bitch than Bush.  I'm very happy that Bush isn't in power any more.  I liked Obama's speech and I think he represents your country much better than Bush.  Bush really made you guys look bad.

i didnt vote for that dipshit(bush). lol

and i dont know, i think hes got a decent head on his shoulders, but i REALLY dont see this going well with them controlling the government with a majority..... every time the 3 houses are either dem OR repub, some fucked up shit that doesnt benefit us the people happens.  i was hoping for a split house..... thats how shit gets hammered out with more thought and more fighting, which equals more equality in the amendments and such.

I'll agree somewhat that having a republican house and a democratic president is usually the best way to keep things in check, but at the moment with how crinkled things are, having two branches of the government bickering over trying to change things back would just end up being a hassle that would make progress take longer.  It depends on the president and how he uses the freedom of a house of the same party.

i didnt say that. what i am saying though, is that with the 2 houses and president being democrat, and majority at that, it will be ALOT easier for them to push things through without a fight.  such as harsher drug laws, harsher gun laws, etc.

and its a fucking disaster because bush is the head of it all right now.
