Anyone here won/or know someone that hit the Lottery?

Just curious. My mother-in-law's friends (10 of them) hit the Texas Lotto and split 14 Million (after taxes around 420K each). I know everyoe here has dreamed of it..what would you do with 14 million bucks? I get a nice house, a couple of nice cars for my wife and me and a nice boat and of course give all of my good friends a nice check! Oh yea, I owuld throw a kick ass party too at a ballroom or something.

lookin for a chateau, 21 rooms but 1 will do, i dont want to buy it, just want to rent it for an hour or 2.

i though that fit. seriously though i would buy a ton of land out in the mountains, and it would be open to all deadheads that dont have a place to stay when they dead are not touring.

My grandparents won the lottery, only 5 numbers I believe, definatly under half a million but no idea how much exactly.

If I won id buy a huge field with cows for the sole purpose of shrooms, lol.. Feed them spores with every meal.  :tongue:

I would dress up in a smoking jacket like Hugh Hefner, then take pictures of me holding a glass of congac, and smoking a cigar in a really nice house, probably in front of a fire place.

I would then take that picture and rent every billboard in Houston, have the picture take up the whole billboard except for me, I would be 10-15 taller than the billboard.  It would say, "Welcome to Houston, Home of millionaire Bruce *****."

Really winning the lottery is extremely rare. Working in a convenience store, I see a lot of people buying lottery tickets. The only people who I've ever seen get a significant payouts are the hardcore gambling addicts. They all continue to gamble.

Playing the lottery is pretty stupid.

i knew someone who won...actually a couple people, i saw them on T.V. If i won a lot of money of course i would buy some cool shit and a lot of pot but i would save a lot of it so i don't blow it all and then need it later on.

In Texas they have a cash value option which is a lump sum payment...but is only half of the jackpot...in this case 7 mil cash payment. that was divided by 10 people...700K each and then taxed at 40% = 420K. What a bummer...280K back to Uncle Sam in taxes each!

some guy came into my work once (Wherehouse Music, before they went bankrupt) and said he won the lottery and got 800 million dollars a few months before and was taking an early retirement.
But we were all quite sketchy, because he had no front teeth, was dressed like trailer trash, and was buying monster truck tickets...
AND I live in Tucson.... that might explain it by itself.
