A shrooms and diabetes question...
    #9170924 -

I will preface my question by first saying I am a Type 2 diabetic.  I have historically have had issues with the control of my blood sugar because of piss poor willpower.

That being said.  I go to the doctor every 3 months for a check up.  As every diabetic knows, and this serving as an explanation for non-diabetics, there are blood tests to measure the A1C level (long term blood sugar levels) in diabetics which are taken on a regular basis.  Well over the summer I had the opportunity, thankfully so, to trip a few times.  And when the blood work for my A1C level during that period came back it was fantastic.  I can't say my diet was something I could point to as the reason for the improvement (please see 'piss poor willpower' part), I did exercise a bit more by hiking/golf played on foot carrying a 20 lb bag on my shoulder but the only thing out of the ordinary for me was the higher than normal trip activity.  Has anyone heard of any studies which show that the physical effects of psychoactive mushrooms, if taken on a semi-regular basis, have beneficial effects for diabetics?  Or was it all the exercise this time?

I figure I'd check here...if anyone knows it would be people here.

psychedelics have been known to do lots of great things for our health. but its not a direct affect of the drug. rather, it has to do with your mindset and stress levels and exercise etc
