Differential of e^x is just e^x and you don't differentiate the ln(x), then you leave the e^x alone and differentiate the ln(x); 1/x.

Im not in any math class, and probably never will be again. 

What do you do in that class?  Special functions?  I took two semesters of 'Mathematical methods for physicists'.  Very hard class.

I'm only a first year, so at the moment its just boring bullshit regarding vectors, complex numbers, differentiation and integration.

Although its definitely becoming less pure and more applied .

How about the theorem in my sig? The dimension of the vector space generated by the rows of a matrix is equal to the dimension of the vector space generated by its columns.

How is that ugly? I almost cried when I learned that.
