Women should have the option of a abortion period. Its not your kid, your life, or your situation. It is not murder, because it is not a human being yet.

drugs are illegal, can you still get them or have they disappeared all together

Haha what was this? Are you comparing drug legality to abortion legality? Illegal drugs are dangerous to use, in ways they wouldn't be if they were legal. Illegal abortions are dangerous to perform, in ways they wouldn't be if they were legal. What point were you trying to make? Because you didn't make any sense. Are you trying to say that people who really want abortions are still going to get them?

But I have a serious question for the Obama supporters.  Let's say he wins, and nothing changes.

He will probably get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but let's say that taxes stay pretty much the same, healthcare stays pretty much the same, education stays pretty much the same.

What will your response to all that be?  Would you vote 3rd party next election, or Republican, or not at all?  Will you hold Obama accountable or blame Congress?

I'm curious, because I believe Obama will win and be a typical politician with a great line of bullshit.

If he gets us out of these wars do you know how much money that will save the US?

That's the most I can expect from anyone in politics. McCain is such a loooooooser. But so is Obama.

it makes perfect sense, as this statement shows you did
in fact understand, it just required a little thought

now... where has McCain or Palin said they would outlaw
or work to outlaw abortions?

it's save government tons to line their pockets with, it wont
save us anything since obama is raising taxes, of course it's
a 'punishment for wealth' tax so we may in fact come out behind

Arguing a polemic debate such as abortion is pointless.
There are two sides, there is no right answer.  Just opinions.

what a crock, he says repeatedly he doesnt support it, he

I'm all for people having their own opinions.

Im a libertarian, i don't think there should be a law against one side or the other.  Rather no law at all, If someone gets an abortion, its a sad day because thats one human to not exist, and humanity is beautiful.  And if they decide to have a baby thats beautiful.  Its all up to the mother.  If she keeps the baby good, if she doesn't im not going to physically stop her from getting an abortion.  Because thats her decision to not raise her young.  Some Animals in the wild choose not to raise their young because it hinders they mothers life experience.

To each is their own.

McCain is quite obviously pro-life. If only for the fact that he is a puppet of a party which holds a generally pro-life consensus.

Are you serious, he thinks Roe vs wade was incorrect

and he's right, it's nothing more than forced legislation through litigation, it's the wrong way to make laws

Get your head out of your ass, and actually be open about this subject. Banning abortion will do more harm then good

you get your head out of my ass too then, it's once again an
issue for states to decide, this does nothing more than put
more an more power in the hands of federal government, if
you'd start looking instead of basing things on what you
believe you'd start to understand his viewpoint, not the one
Obama told you to hear

BTW... Jack Kevorkian didnt stop his practice simply because
it was illegal, there's far too many doctors that look out
for womens health that wont allow it to be banned on the
state level

The abortion issue is one of those "3rd rail" issues for politicians.  And everyone has their own opinions about it which are almost pointless debating.  Personally I have no problem with abortion.  Too many dipshits out there having unwanted kids as it is (and just too many people having too many kids in general IMO).  A few more abortions are in order if you ask me.  Its not a popular stand to take on the issue, but I never have cared much about trying to be popular.

BUT...Roe V Wade is a bad law and I fully support repealing it.  Not because I think we should outlaw abortion (obviously), but because it is an issue of states rights and a boundary that should've never been crossed by the federal government.  Of course, I look around at how socialist everyone in this country is becoming and it doesn't surprise me that everyone wants the government to make their decisions for them.  Why else would a man like Obama be so popular?

One of the amendments on the Colorado ballot this year is "definition of a person".  The yayers want to make the law say a person is started at the moment of conception.

I say ok, you want that law passed, prove to me how a fertilized egg is a person.

I don't see why it's so obviously a state issue. If a state decided to enforce segregation in schools, wouldn't you expect the federal government to step in and tell the state to stop infringing people's rights?

The constitution deals with the definition of a person already in other respects (slaves).  So it's the implied domain of the federal government.  Sorry, states' rights people, that's crossing the line and would get shot full of holes in the Supreme Court.
