Cake Direction?

OK. Here we go. I have the cakes in a tank. When I made the jars I used 1/2 inch of pure Vermiculite as the tek suggested. Now i put them into the tank. When i put them in, should they be dumped right in which leaves that extra 1/2 in. of pure verm. pointing up , or put them bottom up(by bottom i mean the part that was on the bottom of the jar?) Thanks for the help once more guys.

If your talking about the PF tek, then that extra 1/2 in of verm you put in the jar last should still be rather dry and loose, and just discarded (or saved for future use).
