waiting the extra week ?

is it necessary to give cakes the extra week to colonize on the inside ? I know all about patience :smile:  , but im having trouble believing that the inside of the cake is not colonized now . PF says to wait the extra week , but is that just general advice and not a RULE ? btw , its almost 4 weeks now and I am at full colonization :smile:  the reason i ask is that mycellium appeared in the center of the bottom of a  jar ( the jars are flipped) . this makes me believe that there is already mycellium in the center of the cake......................?

most people will tell you that it is worth the wait. Flushes will be larger and the risk for contam entering your cake will lessen.

you can birth em if you like. The extra week is a preference thing. I'm sure your anxious so unleash those puppies.

With B+ it doesn't make much of a difference if you wait or not . Like others said, it's all about preference.
