Smoking from aluminum foil...

Is this as bad as people say it is? Can it lead to alzheimers disease?
Sometimes I run out of screens and use a piece of aluminum foil instead.

Falling right after you smoke is gonna be from oxygen dep/blood pressure drop.

I have low blood pressure in general. When i smoke it gets really low. If i am very stoned and i stand up too quick. I will get tunnel vision and my ears go WAHWAHWAH. Ive even hit the floor once or twice from it.

Yes, it is genuinely very bad for you. Probably not as bad as some of the shit they cut soapbar resin with, but no-one with a brain smokes that anyway.

Some nice KB in a glass bong is what I like.

It's never been shown to be bad for you. Don't worry about it. For all those that say otherwise, provide a source, please. I've never found one. Aluminum foil is just pressed alluminum; there are no adulterants that I'm aware of. The melting point of aluminum is not going to be reached by your bic, so you won't inhale it.

Most likely. Has this proved to ruin or contaminate the potatoes in any way? Not at all. Does the aluminum foil sustain more heat on the barbecue? Yes.

So, can one conclude that there really is no risk in using aluminum foil, based on the fact we eat out of it, and it endures more heat? Most likely.

Heh.... don't forget the damn bbq its self is made up of aluminum usally BUT i still don't use tin foil to smoke.... better safe then sorry :blush:

When I started smokin bud, I used aluminum foil bowls, but then one of my friends made me a bowl out of hollow metal piece shaped in a L. I still use a aluminum bowl with my gatorade bottle bong, but the only thing I don't like about aluminum is that it tastes really bad when you smoke out of it.

There is no difference between foil, and aluminum bowls. Personally, I don't even wear Anti-perspirant deodorant. Just the regular stuff. Anti-perspirant uses aluminum particles to clog your sweat pores. I would only smoke out of glass.

Ive never seen an aluminum bowl. The metal pipes people use are made from Nickel or are nickel coated, not aluminum.

There are many bowls that are made from anodized aluminum. If you've never seen one, you must not smoke much.

spliffguru: you need to stick to master of spliffs, cause you are wrong on this one.

sure, potatoes can be cooked in aluminum foil, and at higher temperatures than our lighter, but we don't sit over the potato and inhale the smoke that is being given off.

on the other hand, when smoking something out of aluminum foil, you would be inhaling and fumes/smoke that it gives off.

try this one on for size - after you make that aluminum pipe, hold a lighter to the 'bowl' part of it for about 5 seconds... you'll see lots of black smoke emit.

I actually wittnessed the foil shriveling from the heat and realeasing fumes. Aluminum gives headaches...

hmm, I guess you would have a point...

I would think though that the aluminum foil fumes would leak into and contaminate a pealed potatoe.

What about cigarette foil? Same deal, or is that safer?
