I guess it depends on the individual, but my first (and only) trip went bad because of pot. It just made things really fuzzy and freaky. I'd hesitate to try that again... at least until I get more experience. Unfortunately, there are no psychedelics available where I live. (I'm planning to grow my own shrooms as soon as I get an own apartment.)

Smoking weed has always been very good to me while tripping. I smoke a joint or a bowl right when the shrooms start to hit me and it totally enhances the trip. Smoking is a must if your shrooming. I agree you can smoke your whole stash and not know it. I smoke without thinking about it and then look at my bag the next day after I've come down. I sit there and try to remember the points during the trip when I smoked. It usally takes a while, but parts of the trip begin to become much clearer. ~~~Stoner~~~

I always smoke when I trip. Sakers is right about smoking your whole stash. The last time I tripped I only had enough left for a couple huge GB hits. Weed makes me happy...

I agree sakers. While tripping i like to smoke alot because it calms me.Also, while shrooming, weed helps take away that naucious feeling.Lastly, sublime kicks ass and Raliegh Theodore Sakers is one crazy mofo.

I don't think smoking is must for Shrooming, you should be able to have a very rewarding experience shrooming without smoking weed. Of course some people always seem to need weed regardless of whether they are tripping or not. The entire experience is about yourself... its all you, so you make out of it what you want it and if you HAVE TO SMOKE weed when you are shrooming or if you don't and the entire time you are doing it you are thinking "Man i wish I had a bowl right now since I am shrooming" then you are probably phsycologically addicted to weed.

I would have to disagree with smoking while shrooming. My friends and I last shroomed in January, and when we peaked we walked around campus. On the way back, we stopped at a building and smked two or three bowls. None of us felt any effects from the weed. (btw, it was KB, as that is all we have here) At best, it made our eyes red and squinty. I remember my first successful time on shrooms, we smoked a few bowls, and again there was no effect. Maybe it's just my chemical make-up, as I seem to be very resistant to substances, but weed just can't overpower the mushies.

Nuh-uh. Smoking weed ruined my first and only trip. It was great for a while, but when I started to come down, I smoked like 3 bowls. At first, it just sort of revived my trip, but it ended up just destroying me. I just writhed around on the floor for a while and passed out. Bleh! I'm shroomin' again soon, and there will be no weed for me!------------------

Man smoking weed while tripping goes hand and hand with me and my friends when we trip. Hell, what em I talking about, weed goes with everything. Wake up, smoke weed, Play some PLaystation, smoke weed, go get breakfast, smoke weed, take a shower, smoke weed, go get lunch, smoke weed, turn on the playstation again, smoke weed. Man, weed goes with every occasion, Go to Rave, Locate Acid (Or X, OR Shrooms), dose, then smoke weed. Oh yeah, don't forget to smoke some weed before you get into the car to go to the rave, and don't forget a joint for the ride to the rave. See people, weed goes with everything. About once every one or two months when I make a trip to Long Beach, where I stay at, we go through usually about 1 Ounce of Red bud, that is from Friday until Sunday around lunch when it is time for me to leave and go back home. That is not to mention The Chronic and Green bud people stop by with to smoke us out with. I could never have imagined smoking this much bud during a weekend when I first started smoking some five years ago. But when you are around friends, and partying all the time, when the joint comes around and it is your turn to toke, you better buddy.------------------

smoking weed with mushrooms blows ass.... i hate doing it, sometimes its good if i have normal weed which well just calm me like u guys say. but whenever i smoke the regular b.c bud i get from northern b.c it usually hypes me up, starts speeding up my trip to the point that i feel like i'm going crazy. totally messes with my head and everyones voice starts melting into my head and reality starts breaking away... thats only fun when i'm in a house, but outdoors in the woods around drunken people really fucks with your brain.

My last trip I gave away my weed. I found it in my pocket, realized I didn't want it, and gave it to a friend. I had no urge to smoke during my trip and I thought that I was going to quit after the experience. After the effects wore off, boy was I sorry. I was so pissed that I gave away some good bud. That teaches me for making decisions while shrooming. ------------------

CuePea- I agree that smoking isn't a must, obviously it affects everybody differently. However, I am a firm believer in "the experience" and there are certain things that you have NO EXCUSE not to try at least once. After all, isn't it better to regret something you did than something you didn't do?

Oh yeah, and Big Willy: I know exactly how you feel giving away your weed. Once, I was in the middle of an intense and rather unpleasant trip when a friend of mine asked to buy this half ounce of shrooms that i had sitting around. I might as well have given it away because I sold it for ten bucks!

i was tripping on acid once with my best friend, and my brother came into my room and stole the small bag of weed that i had because i owed him some cash, ir really frustrated me because the acid was shitty and made me feel horrible but luckily i had some weed from the small bag busted up on the counter which i forgot about, i was lucky it was there, as soon as i found it my head ace started to go away and i packed up the bong and relaxed! i am going to kick my brothers ass some day soon for that and many other things lol.

Most of the people I knew said marijuana increases certain aspects of a trip, but a few also said that it takes away or blunts other aspects of a trip.
I guess it's an option- to each their own. If you're tripping just to get fucked up then you might as well smoke cause it will help you do what you're trying to do. But if you're trying to explore and discover, make like a 5-year old kid and just have innocent fun, then maybe smoking would work against what you're trying to do.

For shrooms, pot's not a necessity, but I personally prefer to have a little of the green stuff around. It does take a little of the zany edge off the trip that can get uncomfortable at times.With acid, though, it's another matter. I would be hesitant to take acid if I didn't have some pot around to ease that damned body fry. I'm not saying I wouldn't trip because we all know how stupid that would be (unless I was saving the shit for some special occasion)... I'd just be a little hesitant.

I have mixed feelings on this subject, It's gone both ways for me.One time I wuz trippin and I smoked, and it sent thos nice, smooth feeling from the mouth of the joint, right to the tips of my toes. But then, another time I tried it again and it gave me dry-mouth, which I could not get rid of and it made me think my throat was on fire and drinking water to fix the problem only made it worse. I prefer just letting the mushrooms work their magic uninterrupted. ------------------

I like weed on an acid trip.. it seems to make the visuals more intense, and it helps to relax the tension when you are coming up into the trip.

the sweet jane goes well with everything, personally i?ve never triped without jane, it can calm you down when you?re in a tough ride, its also an object to share between the other trippers, makes good vibes, in a dark enviroment the light of the joint becomes a friend, as well as the smoke, its the perfect partner...
not just for acid or shrom tripping, a joint is also beers friend, or any chemical too...

I smoke weed regurly. The thing i like most about shrooming is the way everything becomes clear, and the intelligence is boosted. And you can't exactly say weed clears the head. I prefer to smoke weed in the end of the trip. You feel better and more relaxed in a mellow cool way.
The effects of weed is wery different from person to person. It depends on how often you smoke. If you smoke regurly it makes you more relaxed.If you only smoke once in a while its a trip in itself to smoke.
So only mix shrooms and weed if you are familliar with weed.

I love to smoke buds while i'm tripping.
I find it enhances the visual aspect of the trip for me, and it puts me into a more relaxed mindset, lets me flow with and accept
the shrooms. But I find more and more that weed+shrooms is somthing i do more when i'm shrooming with my friends then when i'm tripping solo as it fuzzes up clarity of the trip a bit.
Also if i'm having a weak experience it's a great booster.

Hey, whats up the best way to get fucked is to just eat 7 or 8 fat grams. that'll do ya nicely. always smoke ganja. its a must. try to have a quarter at leats to keep you going through the night and try slamming a couple of beers while your at it. Shrooms are the shiat. 4:20. OUt

last time i was trippin i smoked one of those big cheech and chong joints at my friends house and i barely noticed the high, but just looking at the buds and the smoke was very pleasant. when im coming down from an acid trip, i like to have weed cuz it gets rid of the sqeevee body thwangs and it helps me sleep. but shrooms are good just by themselves, or with wine. i like shrooms and wine. you should also try eating weed. you need a lot, but it gets you stoneder for longer and its healthier. its good when youre sick.------------------

I smoke everyday like 3 times day, and even more on the weekends, i am always high.
I love weed when im on eOn k it makes the down more chill, and you get the feeling in youre body It makes acid more intense and more of a body feeling I smoke weed and shrooms dust while on shrooms and get fucked up The only way I do opuim is on weed I used to smoke weed when coming down from coke, when i did it occasionally, every time Weed is the perfect drug to do all the time,,, for me at least

the reason why weed is important for me to smoke is because smoking weed is a part of me. there is something comforting in sparking a fat joint. being in "the circle" and partaking in an activity that defines us stoners.late ------------------

I agree with Fraada - if you're a regular smoker (as I am) then smoking on shrooms (or acid or E) is pleasent and almost essential; whether it has any real chemical effect over a strong trip doesn't really matter, its more psychological.
If you rarely smoke, then doing so on a trip can be harsh. I've tripped with non-smokers who hate doing so while tripping - it makes them schitzy and paranoid.I suppose regular smokers have spent years fighting their way through the paranoia to find the truth in the bud
