Fleas!!! HELP

Both of my dogs and cats have fleas but i cant afford to buy them frontline, anybody know any cheap remedies that would work good on my kids?

Ive bought the sprays pet stores sell but those only work overnight, i have been giving them garlic in there food.

My smallest dog (coyodog)is pulling her hair out there so bad.

There's a kind of comb that has metal teeth that some kind of electric impulse goes through.  I can't rmemeber if it kills the fleas or just makes them get as far away as possible, but I remember it works very well.  It also doesn't shock the dog/person it's being used on.  I can't remember what it's called, but if you find something like that be sure to check it out.

shave em. wash em. with the shampoo. then you'll HAVE to bomb your shit. cuz they're in ur carpet, beds, everywhere.

Comb out all fleas and nits by hand. Every day. Multiple times a day. For the next few months. That, AND bomb your house.

In my experience, the best things that work for your fabric on your furniture and your carpet is the purple can of raid for fleas. It kills all life cycles of fleas and is effective for about 3 months. Spray the rooms that are the worst before you go to sleep at night, then when u wake up, it'll be safe. Vacuuming helps a lot of you have carpet. Carpet alone makes the problem worse. If you have hardwood floors, your lucky. Basically for how much effort you can save by dishing out the cash for frontline, u can make your life and your pets life much more comfortable and the amount of work required to help control fleas will be practically eliminated. Keeping your lawn mowed and spraying it with a mild bleach and water solution where your animals use the yard and where you walk will help a lot too. in my personal experience, ive learned these wanna be frontline products are just wanna-be shortcuts that do nothing more than just eat at my wallet. Id rather have one good frontline dose, then 4 doses of something completely unnaffective. But, ive dealt with my cats mostly. Perhaps dogs are different.  cheers!

Back before Frontline existed there were the following options:

-Flea shampoo
-Flea comb
-Flea color

For treating the house there are the foggers, sprays, and powders that you can sprinkle on the carpet.

You read the thread about my flea problem. I bought a 1 gallon jug Real Kill Home Insect Control and sprayed my place down with it. Haven't seen a flea since.

I got this stuff from a local 'home remedy' type shop.  Like a natural foods kind of place.  It's called "flee, flea" and is sold at dancingpaws.com

Check it out.

I just realized, though, that for my dog I bought the 'cat' formula...The smaller bottle, I went for but didn't read 'the fine print'.  I'm retarded.

I have not shaved them yet, i think im going to do that
