New caffeine experiment

After reading some older posts I came across a experiment that was done using coffee to soak the grain. Seeing that I have a lot of 1/2 pint jars from my days using cakes and some spare sport prints I decided to run some tests myself.
I will be soaking my WBS in a 1:4 coffee/water for the 24 hour soak and my control group in a pure water soak. You know the drill rinse and then simmer for a while. But my caffeine experiment group will also have 1/3 cup of pure caffeine anhydrous added to the simmer step. This should make the caffeine WBS loaded with as much caffeine as possible, while still being viable.
Will PC the 6 1/2 pint jars of wbs in one PC and the 6 1/2 pint of the control in their own PC. They will be knocked up with a good old classic B+ 1/2 CC ( rough amount because scraping from prints)in each jar and see what happens.
Any predictions? I dont have anything to give as a prize but the results might be good enough or bad enough to help with further some knowledge.

There's nothing wrong with experimenting.  However, several growers have done just what you're doing with no change in results.  I've been using and recommending coffee for years, but I believe now that the biggest reason for faster colonization is the lower pH that the coffee provides.

Coffee also has nutrients that mycelium loves, but I believe they don't really come into play until fruiting time.
