You have to finish it and think of the context in which it was written.Think about the day and age it was written as well, the story was way ahead of its time.I did a book report on this one.THINK about the characters while you read it.When it was penned they used a bit more imagination, there were no computer images and ipods to stimulate the mind, these things have dulled peoples senses as far as reading a good imaginative story. His choice of words are a bit archaic but it embellishes the story.

It was written in 1932 or so.  Keep in mind that is well before the discovery of DNA.  The beauty of Brave New World is in its philosophy and its prophetic nature.  You have to take the "Brave New World" as a whole and not focus on the somewhat corny early 20th century sci-fi pieces.

I'm reading it now, and only have about 30 pages to the end.

I think it's really interesting... maybe you are taking it too seriously?

I like how they worship Henry Ford instead of Jesus Christ.  "Oh, Ford that was loud", or "Thank Ford for that!", or "in the year 1290 A.F."... It's really pretty funny.

There are other parts too... like the "savages".

It's just one man's story about what could be in the future.  Make what you want of it.
