I am 99% sure that is Mycelium I see growing.
It could be mushroom mycelium, or it could be cobweb mold mycelium.\

But by the looks of it, thats something that I would trash right away... but thats just me

Works like a charm

Right on, Menace. Shrooms are nothing like growing weed, when you have to have an ungodly amount of light placed directly over the top.

There are some 64 quart sterilite bins i found at k-mart AND wal-mart for 10 dollars i think, if not less. The entire tub is see-through. Not just the lid. Nothing some spraypaint can't fix.

In reality you could just get a colored rubbermaide of said size, and cover the top with cling wrap. It would work just fine. Making an air-tight chamber is a bad idea anyways.

Um, dude... your not telling me anything I dont already know and want to forget.
Besides, spray paint on the outside of the tubs wont work, you canb do it, but then youll be crying about how they are side pinning like its some HUGE disaster to your grow.
I have been doing this alot longer than 3 days

I've been growing shrooms way more than 3 days, I do not understand the hostility, Menace. It was directed more to the OP but your picture was good so i quoted it. Not trying to demean you at all.    I use clear tubs, and there's very very little side pinning, even when they side pin 99% of them grow up through the casing still. Only aborts stay down.  Most the pins form where at least some fresh air is present anyways. If anything, black trashbags pwn face because they stay with the substrate when it shrinks away from the side.  An opaque container alone will still allow side pinning as the substrate shrinks up.

BTW that corn jar looks nasty. Can't tell if it's glare or not, but that big glob of gray to the right of the white spots is definitely not your shroom mycellium.

pwn face

WTF?

And for the record foil will pull back with the substrate as it shrinks too, hell the foil sometimes is literally consumed by the mycelium too, which in turn actually makes the black plastic trashbags that for whatever reasoning seem to "pwn face" whatever that means

No idea what that means, but it's now my favorite phrase!

Oh, and as for the OP - go to Home Depot, get some plexiglass & mod the lid if you have to. Takes about... um.. 5 minutes.

"There is a world beyond ours, a world that is far away, nearby, and invisible. And there it is where God lives, where the dead live, the spirits and the saints, a world where everything has already happened and everything is known. That world talks. It has a language of its own. I report what it says. The sacred mushroom takes me by the hand and brings me to the world where everything is known. It is they, the sacred mushrooms, that speak in a way I can understand. I ask them and they answer me. When I return from the trip that I have taken with them, I tell what they have told me and what they have shown me."
