The mushroom gods need to spread spores around my neighborhood lol. So much nice habitat for them but they never grow, always gotta go travel. Nice finds so far though guys! Can't wait for the season to get into full swing after a couple more nice storms.

My problem is not knowing what substrate they grow on, but where to FIND that substrate. All the local parks within 10mi of my house have no alder chips...it's like the park management crews got smart, and found out that psychedelic mushrooms grow on that type of mulch, so they all switched to cedar or whatever. :frown:

And that makes me sad...

HAHA, yeah...I guess you're right. Shroomies are for the mind...c'mon, psychedelic means mind-manifesting!

I always feel a LOT smarter when I'm under the influence of them, too...or LSD. I have no idea why, I can just see the "big picture" a lot easier, or "outside the box" if I'm thinking about something.

Aw, I'm definitely jealous...I haven't shroomed in a long ass time. I don't have connects for them, and I am the WORST hunter ever, lol. I cant find any spots but I'm gonna keep looking in new, different areas until I find the sacred alder mulch, lol

tyler what part of the pnw are you in? Yea in shrooms I can look at things in about 10 different ways instantly and find the best one. Its weird and awsome. Has anyone else gotten really good at flowing with words when on then or at least things flow and fit together perfectly with out even thinking about what you are saying?

My ability to communicate verbally is almost completely diminished when I'm high on mushrooms.  At least when I do more than 1/8th, which is just about every time.

I've only done shrooms once and I can't wait to give it another go.  I was so glad to hear that I live in a GREAT area for hunting. Can't wait 'til it rains so I can give it a try- hopefully I am successful.

We're experiencing hot sun right now all through this week. I'm sure we'll start seeing some rains this weekend. By October 10th and on, we should all really be able to count on finding them in large patches.

Well, fellas.  Looks to be some rain coming in at the end of next week, starting around Thursday and lasting through the weekend (at least around Salem-ish)  Here it comes!  I'm hella excited.
