Hmm, did it? I went and checked up on a few patches before I left town for Thanksgiving on Wednesday and they were fine, the fruits that were there were growing and new pins were still coming. I wont be around to do any picking this weekend though so they'll probly get raped :( , maybe not though *knocks on wood*. DH

Hi, I just posted here in thhis forum some P. cyanescens fotos I photographed on Friday and they are coming up like wildfire. SO the season is hardly over yet. ITs the P. pelliculosas which I am going after in a few weeks to photograph inthe clearcuts. Bye for now and yes blue ringers are still growing also on lawns and in woodchips. as are liberty caps in Washington and liberty caps, cyans and azurescens in Oregon. mj

I did not know about your Gyms. Where are they. Dr. Joseph Amiratti at the University of Washington is a Gymnopilus speciealist. You should try to contact him there if you are in Seattle. He is sometimes in Hendricks Hall and in Johnston Hall. HAs offices in both buildings. You can bring in species for him to identify for you. But do not over bother him regarding Psilocybe. only for ID purpposes. He would probably identify them for you. Tell him you want to know if they are the honey mushroom or a similar species. They macroscopically resemble each other and there should be no problem with him identifying them for you. He has several listed in his two 60.00 mushroom field guides. to Canada and the Pacific Northwest Mushrooms. mj

A good frost can kill the ones that are up but if it is followed by warmer weather, new flushes will still come up. Check your patch!
