Yes use scissors for sure on cyans. Yea Im 99% sure those are subbs, you should collect all of those. You might like the trip even more than a cyan trip  but good to mix has an extra chemical that gives an amazing body high. How much rain do you guys think cyans need for a few days, Like .5" for a couple days or ..?

Well you were correct

They are very tasty and active. nothing like a Cyan but a nice mellow feel after eating the samples from last night.

next post will be about the Cyan that will be found  I promise!

Thanks all for this forum!

I enjoy the trip almost more than a cyan trip A good dose is around 8 grams. Collect them and eat them with cyans for the best trip youll ever have

Wow, more than a 1/4 of mushrooms, VERY potent ones at that! I'd be tripping the most balls ever tripped ever! I've never had a full 1/8 and I hit lvl 4s on the cubes I've eaten. You, my friend, are a crazy mofo.

Me too, I've been checking a lot of spots but nothing yet. I found a wood chip bed with mycelium growing all over it so I'm gonna check up on it in the future once it starts raining more.

Still a tad early I guess. I went hunting today for about 4 hours and came up with no cyans. I found a bunch of other interesting fungi though. Aminitas, small whit mushrooms, gyms, and etc. I made sure to kick open a bunch of dead logs and spread the bark around just in case.

So do people hunt for cyans in the forest often? Or do they just stick to the manmade parks and what not?

Yes mainly areas like that. Also farms that spread light wood chips around are a great place to consider.
As are every business or organization with woodchips/grass in the PNW:grin:
And besides, you might find some Baeocystis, or Stunzii or Scritipes(which I'm told has been renamed)

Went on a little walk last night looking for Stuntzii and cyans and had no luck there but i did find the best patch of subbs i have ever found. Was a little surprized to see those but it was enough for me and my friend to have a nice little evening trip.

I really think the next 1 or 2 rains is going to push us through to the season. Really sunny and hot days help the mycelium growth and it also triggers the mushrooms to prepare to sprout once it rains.

We're experiencing hot sun right now all through this week. I'm sure we'll start seeing some rains this weekend. By October 10th and on, we should all really be able to count on finding them in large patches.

Just about 10 more days guys...

I checked about 10 patches yesterday in North Seattle. They are showing mycelia growth but no mushrooms yet. Need more rain.:mad2:

hey I keep reading about how I should be looking near wood chips but I keep seeing pics with cyans growning on grassy bushy area also should I be looking there also. I walk a trail that has old logs knocked down from storms any chance they be around or on logs ?

I went out on a hunt last Wednesday and didn't find anything that I was looking for. But I did find two small alder forests that consisted of nothing but alders and tons of mulch and grass underneath them. They were just small areas (perhaps a few hundred mature alders) before they started mixing in with the other trees. This was on top of a hill in the West Sound area. Would this be an ideal spot to look after the next rain? I did find some LBMs there but they did not look anything like cyans. My GF got a few pics of the spot and the mushrooms growing there, I'm not sure how they turned out but if they are good I will post them.

I went for a stroll today.  I found many pins but few mature fruits.  We need more rain and cooler temps.
