Context, Pris, Context. Once again in that video they cut him off to make it sound different.

the video I posted shows him catering to the audiences, the
first was "Iran is not a seroius threat", after a week and
some polls, "Iran is a very serious threat", exactly what's so
hard to understand, obama just panders to the audiences he's
speaking to, he's never done anything more, post the vid for
the 'is a serious threat' and then compare the two

I cant explain it clearly enough for you, the mccain ad is more effective on some people than I would have thought.

Obama looks at the past decisions that were made, and how they impacted us. He sees that Russia posed a huge thread and negotiation worked. Hes comparing irans threat to russias (and yes hes comparing threats, meaning Iran DOES POSE A THREAT, its not as great as the threat we once faced, which negotiation got us out of). Why else would he want to negotiate with Iran if they did not pose a threat?

And like I said before Its wrong to cut out "Does not pose a threat" from the sentence, that is not what he is implying, he is implying that the threat is not as big as russias and that we negotiated with russia why cant we negotiate with iran?

lets just say for example, your dick is 20 inches, and the black dude beside you is 30 inches. 20 inches is big, but 30 makes it look gimp. Now I could say.

Prisoner#1 doesnt have a big penis like the black guy standing beside him does.

Now someone can cut this from what I said to make it different.

"Prisoner#1 doesnt have a big penis"

Now this would make ur penis sound like its under 6 inches to people who read just what I quoted. Just because I said you dont have a big penis WHEN compared to the black dudes, doesnt mean you dont have a big penis.

Now you might understand where im coming from. Thats the only example I could think of honestly :lol:

There's a good, short video about some of his flip-flopping. This video doesn't even include his immigration switch, which is his most well-known switching of of positions.

like the decision to say "Iran is not a threat, they're a tiny
country that spends less than 1% of our military budget on
their military, diplomacy is the way!" and then turns around
to say "Iran is a huge threat, There are no options off the
table, we must prevent them from obtaining a nuclear bomb!"

that second one was quite bushesque, it leads me to believe
that we'll be invading iran if obama is elected in the search
for WMDs but seeing as how the first speech was to the US, the
second to Israelis, I can see why they suddenly became a huge
threat that was denying the holocaust

democracy went out the window with his second speech on Iran, are we to believe that Iran will respond to someone that they now feel to be a threat?

our negotiations with russia led to the cuban missile crisis,
they started more than a year before, they went to the point
that russia had nukes pointed at us and we had them pointed at
them, a no win situation, what averted the disaster, our
willingness to use them regardless of the cost, not a 'please
dont set us up the bomb'

but his become 0 inches when it gets shot off, a threat is a threat, either they do post a serious threat because they pursue nukes or they dont

in understood before your example, but it holds no bearing as
both speeches clearly show the flounder that is obama, is Iran
researching peashooter technology or are they pursuing nukes,
one is a threat, the other is not

Mccain, to me, is the second bush. And you think with him in office we have a better chance of not invading iran, than with obama? Chances are with Mccain in office, he wont even try to talk to Iran before an invasion, Obama would. I mean honestly, Mccain is a warmonger, period.

Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, iran. Lets bomb iraaaaaaaaaan.

Wow look McCain received $169k from fannie and freddie lobbyist.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/19/fact-check-did-obama-profit-from-fannie-and-freddie/#more-19364

From your link:

Quote:
The New York Times has published a separate list looking at contributions from "directors, officers, and lobbyists for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac" for the 2008 campaign cycle. That list — using figures from the Federal Election Commission — shows McCain receiving $169,000, while Obama received only $16,000.

Explaining the difference, the Center for Responsive Politics said on its Web site that it does not include members of the board of directors because they could serve on boards of various companies. Their contributions are listed along with other employees of the companies they work for. And the center says lobbyists usually represent multiple clients as well, so their contributions are listed under their lobbying firms — except in-house lobbyists, who are included in the center's list.

The mortgage giants Fannie and Freddie became symbols of the nation's economic mess — and, to critics, of corporate greed — after the government recently took them over to bail them out, making donations linked to the company in any way potential political fodder.

VERDICT
Partially true, but misleading. Donations don't come from companies. A list of employee contributions puts Obama second, but a different list including lobbyists and directors shows McCain getting more.

The NY Times, official mouthpiece of the anOinted One makes a list that has little relevance to FM twin employees.  The Times goes as far afield as necessary to find people who may have worked as a lobbyist and then assigns their contributions to FM activity.  Sweet.  Then there is the matter of Raines (who knows at this point what the truth is) and Johnson, who we do know about.  Johnson is very close, he assisted in picking Biden.  Also we have the lovely and talented Penny Pritzker:
Quote:
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for the 1,406 people who lost much of their life savings when Superior Bank of Chicago went belly up in 2001 with over $1 billion in insured and uninsured deposits. This collapse came amid harsh criticism of how Superior's owners promoted sub-prime home mortgages. As part of a settlement, the owners paid $100 million and agreed to pay another $335 million over 15 years at no interest.

The uninsured depositors were dealt another blow recently when the U.S. Supreme Court let stand a lower court decision to put any recovered money toward the debt that the bank owners owe the federal government before the depositors get anything.

But this seven-year-old bank failure has relevance in another way today, since the chair of Superior’s board for five years was Penny Pritzker, a member of one of America’s richest families and the current Finance Chair for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama, the same candidate who has lashed out against predatory lending.

http://www.consortiumnews.com/2008/022708a.html

Barry's finance chair is the Mother of Sub-prime lending.  More sweetness.

So basically it's saying that most of the money Obama had contributed to him from fannie and freddie was from the employees. So why are all the right wingers bitching?

and was brought about because of an omnibus crime bill that
eventually became the Patriot Act, it was penned by the FBI
under the clinton Administration it was presented for vote
several times and lost each time, several parts of the
original bill were slipped into other bills during the clinton
administration, had it not been for the fact that the only
acts of 'terrorism' at the time were the first WTC event, and
the OKC bombing, it would have passed long before and we'd
have had homeland security during clintons day

to give you an idea of what the bill contained since I'm

I don't really see anything to invasive in that bill at all. And probabley agree with most of it.

* Requires the marking of plastic explosives to allow for more effective detection;

    * Prohibits the possession, importation, and sale of nuclear materials;

    * Prohibits foreign terrorist organizations from raising money in the United States;

    * Prevents entry into the United States by members and representatives of foreign terrorist groups;

    * Reforms asylum laws to stop their manipulation by foreign terrorists;

    * Establishes a special deportation procedure for alien terrorists that satisfies due process and protects our national sovereignty;

    * Encourages the development of a machine-readable visa and passport system;

    * Authorizes an employer engaged in the business of providing private security services to investigate an employment applicant's legal status and his authorization to work;

    * Authorizes lawsuits by Americans against foreign nations responsible for state-sponsored terrorist activity; and

    * Provides for the expedited expulsion of illegal aliens from the United States.

    * Importantly, the bill also:

    * Adds Habeas Corpus reform provisions;

    * Adds the Victim Restitution Act of 1995 (H.R. 665);

    * Adds the Criminal Alien Deportation Improvements Act of 1995 (H.R. 668);

    * Deletes the enhanced wiretap authorizations, including emergency wiretap expansion and roving wiretap modifications;

    * Deletes the authorization of military involvement in civilian law enforcement situations;

    * Deletes the overly broad definition of terrorism;

    * Deletes funding for a domestic counterterrorism center and for additional FBI personnel; and finally,

    * Deletes the 40-percent civil penalty surcharge intended to fund the Digital Telephony law.
