Why do people laugh at(or should be afraid of) creationists?

The first half or so of the series deals with common creationist arguments, however, the part I would like to discuss are the political ramifications of what it could lead to.
If the US does get hijacked by religious fundamentalists, it would only take a generation until our creationist taught children run this country truly to the ground. Science and modern machinery have a better track record at building up an army than praying, hence how we flattened Iraq's army within a few weeks to start the war. In addition, this would be a nation that would deem itself on a holy war from God to rid the world of "Evil." Do we really want a country that firmly believes no matter what they'll be going to some sky daddy to have access to the largest stock pile of nuclear weapons on Earth?
If you're thinking to yourself, there is no way this could happen, remember we're one McCain heart attack from having a person who believes Adam and Eve chilled with a fruit salad eating type of T-Rex.

creationism is such a crock, I don't even want to get into it.

in order for a theory to be credible, in needs to be backed by two things: evidence and reproducibility. creationist theory has neither.

only dimwitted maladaptive fools (aka christian conservative fundamentalists) would entertain creationism
