awesome, pris. what kind is it?

this coming week, i am picking up a second table saw, a 6" joimter, a 13" planer, and a router table to mount my plunge router in. the table saw we have is going to be dedicated to cutting fret slots. there is a place a few miles from here called Righteous Woods. i should be able to pick up plenty of luthier grade woods not to mention be able to put my instruments into production.

it's a rigid, it makes the table saw number 3, along with my
brothers tools I have almost enough to set up shop again, still
need to run a few more power outlets, some more lighting and
start building work surfaces... I hate relocating, it's months
of work just so I can work and it doesnt help when everyone
decides to move everything up to the shop to store and just
drops it everywhere

You do metal work, right? Do you dabble in wood working much? Rigid is a good brand. I am looking at Jet right now, but on my next upgrade, I want to go with a local (to TN) company named Powermatic. They make really top notch equipement.

I'm originally a wood worker and if you can, powermatic all the
way, you wont get a better cabinet saw for the money, of course
if you're limited on space and your pockets are just too full of money

Oh man, the new Yankee workshop was the shit! I was watching that all the time when it was on HGTV.  Had to be at least a few years ago.

that one and the woodwrights shop were 2 of my faves, woodwright
because he used a lot of primitive tools including a treadle lathe

i dig the idea of the woodwright shop, but the host annoys the piss out of me

pris, that table saw is unbelievable. i can't imagine i would ever need anything remotely close to it, though.

it's a shame i never visited your shop during my 20+ years living in tennessee. i bet we could fab up a bunch of cool stuff.

fortunately I never bought one, the idea of combination machines
dont appeal to me, many have a single motor, if it goes you lose
the use of several tools, I opted to use more space but keep the
functionality of several tools if one went south

after I get benches up, it's jig building time, there's several
I like to start with right off the bat, the rest I can build as
I need them
