Severe soreness and fever after lifting?

Anyone ever get this? ive been getting headaches too

Sometimes the flu causes muscle soreness and stiffness that feels like the kind you get from heavy lifting.  Headaches and fever too.

Well i lifted for the first time in over a month the day before. I dont feel sick and it's been 2 days. Just the soreness which was expected, but the headaches and fever and lethargy were not.

As far as the headaches are concerned, make sure to breathe and drink while you workout. Watch your diet too. Too much red meat, which is preferable for a hardcore bodybuilder, can mean lots of pain for a regular person. Lots of folks get too many omega 6's and that leads to inflammation. It's a part of lifting weights, but you need to remember to get in omega 3's because it'll help with the inflammation.

Make sure to get some carbs into your system after you workout to replenish glycogen, and don't forget the protein shake. Without it, your body won't send chemical messengers out there to tell it to repair. You'll just wreck your body for no reason.
