Way back when, before dirt was even formed. My first experiance with a spore print went bad. With the next print, I scraped it into a sterilzed pint jar - filled w/sterile water & drew out of that with brand new syringes.

Even then -- thinking I did it -- cleanly --, about half of what I injected contam?ed.

Next step was to built a flow hood -- to work with. After that, along with clean procedures, bingo / bango, contam rate dropped to almost nil.

You get what you pay for. Those who take lazy short/cuts -- often don?t get to where they want to go.

Syringes by far!! this is a surface area issue... sporewater flowing... into and out of the substrate... increasing the innoculation point probably all the way to the bottom of the jar : P you'd have to really use that spore print.. not to mention rehydration and crap...

the spores need to be hydrated, I have read that after making a syringe you should wait at least 12 hours before innoculation. That is what i do anyway.
